Choreography
Miranda Parker has recently relocated to NYC. Being from Wisconsin, a majority of her work has been in the Milwaukee area. She has choreographed such shows like The Addams Family, Little Women: The Musical, Shrek: The Musical, The Wizard of Oz, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at a high schools. She is a two time Jerry Award nominee for Outstanding Choreography. Summer of 2025 she worked as associate choreographer for the Kids from Wisconsin. She choreographed half of the Vegas style revue show that tours for the summer. Last year she worked as the dance assistant for Kids From Wisconsin. She also served as associated choreographer for Bat Boy (Outskirts Theatre) and All Night Strut (UW-Milwaukee). Dance in theatre is really interesting because she feels it is underutilized in a lot of ways. There is so much physicality and character development that can be portrayed just through one dance. A dance number signifies community, a fantasy, creating an environment, or highlighting characters. She believes movement provides so much meaning. Outside of Musical Theatre she also choreographs smaller projects and is an avid improviser and loves to collaborate with local artists.
